Career & style
Emma Watson began her professional acting career as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films. Subsequent roles included The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Bling Ring, Beauty and the Beast and Little Women. Alongside acting, she studied English literature at Brown University and graduated in 2014. That year she also became a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, extending her public work beyond cinema.
Her fashion history includes Burberry campaigns and a collaboration with People Tree, making the relationship between a celebrity image and clothing production a useful topic. The advertising photograph and the garment’s supply chain ask different questions. An archive can show the styling while also identifying what is documented about the project. Avoid turning a sustainability claim into a blanket judgment about every item or every stage of a brand’s production.
