From Utah to Los Angeles
Lucky Blue Smith was born in Spanish Fork, Utah, in 1998 and grew up with three older sisters. Music and modeling were shared family interests before a move to Los Angeles. Early work included a Vogue Hommes Japan shoot with Hedi Slimane, whom he later recalled not yet recognizing as a famous photographer. Family and music accompanied the move into professional fashion.[1][2]

A rapidly recognizable new face
His bleached hair and distinctive face drew rapid attention in the mid-2010s. Campaigns included Tom Ford, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, with runway work for Balmain and Giorgio Armani. In 2016 he appeared with Lottie Moss on Vogue Paris and joined L’Oréal Paris Men Expert. Sustained bookings required professional adaptation beyond a recognizable hairstyle.[2][3]
A model with a direct digital audience
Direct contact with fans made him a prominent example of social-media-era modeling. Reports described crowds at fashion weeks and rapidly shared images. In 2016 he acknowledged that an online following offered brands additional reach. He was both a commissioned model and the owner of a public channel; historical follower figures should not be presented as current measurements.[2][4]

Music, film and a first book
He played drums in the family band The Atomics. In 2016 the group performed at Los Angeles’s Roxy Theatre, he appeared in Love Everlasting and he published Stay Golden. The book combined photographs and personal recollections. Music, acting and selecting material for publication brought distinct forms of expression alongside modeling.[5][6][7]

Parenthood and family life
He became a father in 2017 and married model Nara Pellmann in 2020. The couple subsequently welcomed children in 2020, 2022, 2024 and 2025. These publicly announced milestones place the teenage modeling career within a developing adult life. Older interviews describe earlier family circumstances and should be read in that context.[1][8]
Working on both sides of the camera
He photographed Nara for an Interview feature in 2024, providing a published credit behind the camera. At BoF VOICES that year, the couple discussed public attention and maintaining a sense of themselves. Their conversation addressed the gap between online interpretation and personal experience, a different challenge from the early excitement of becoming recognizable.[9][10]
Recent campaigns and 2026 appearances
His 2025 portfolio includes Ralph Lauren, Amiri and Burberry campaigns and a Numéro Homme Switzerland cover. Vogue documented his attendance with Nara at Tiffany’s Blue Book gala in April 2026. An event appearance is distinct from an advertising contract. The recent record combines commissioned fashion work, editorial projects and public appearances alongside family life.[11][12]
