Career & style
Sienna Miller worked as a model before her acting career gained momentum with Layer Cake and Alfie in 2004. Factory Girl followed with her portrayal of Edie Sedgwick, while The Girl explored the career of actor Tippi Hedren. Later work including American Woman offers another route into a career often discussed through fashion photographs.
Miller’s connection to clothing extends beyond being photographed in it. She and her designer sister Savannah launched Twenty8Twelve in 2007 and remained involved until 2012. Her association with boho chic therefore sits alongside experience in a fashion business. An editorial reading can distinguish three things: the clothes worn by a film character, the relaxed combinations associated with her public image, and the work of a label developed with a professional designer.
