Kaia Gerber

Defining work

Kaia Gerber grew up in California as the daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. Access to shoots did not make a model’s actual work easy for a child to understand, as she explained in Vogue. In 2026 she recalled a book-filled and relatively quiet childhood. Resemblance to her mother dominated early attention, but reading and acting later became important independent interests.

Kaia Gerber pursued acting alongside advertisements and editorials. W’s 2023 interview discussed Bottoms, modeling and reading. Creating a photographic impression differs from developing a character’s behavior over a film, so acting should be assessed through specific roles rather than treated as an automatic promotion from modeling. The interview documented interests expanding into other creative conversations.
